Return Flight Plan

It makes sense to file your flight plan at home before you leave but if this doesn't work out you have several options:

  • From anywhere you can call London Flight Clearance and file your flight plan by phone or fax.

  • At Calais you can file the flight plan in the Tower.

  • At Le Touquet you can use the fax at reception.

  • At Ostend use the fax in flight briefing.

  • At Alderney you can use the fax in flight briefing.

  • Everywhere else you use the on line French Flight Planning System.

  • You can phone the A/G operator at you home airfield who can file it for you. (But you may not be the most popular guy in the club house!)

The On-Line French Flight Plan

Beware: The French have just introduced a new system, but we have yet to find one which works, and the ATC clerk we spoke to seemed unsurprised! When we do find one which works we will put the instructions here.

The online French system works mostly on a question and answer system whereby you highlight the option you require and press enter to confirm. The keyboard is French and not quite QWERTY so beware.

Popham too is not available as a destination, so enter ZZZZ  and under comments enter "Destnation EGHP Popham".
