Flying The Route

Flying the route should present no difficulties provided that the normal disciplines such as maintaining headings and dead reckoning estimates are maintained. If lost over the channel fly due north or due south and you are bound to reach land!

  • Take Off

  • Activate Flight Plan

    Your flight plan will normally be activated by the A.G. operator at the airfield once you have taken off. If not it is essential to activate your flight plan in the air. To do this you will need to tell London Information your registration and take off time. Note: you cannot open a flight plan before taking off!

  • Contact London Information or a Radar Service
